2. What personal data do we collect?

When you request a demo through our website, we may collect:

• your name;
• your email address;
• your venue or company name;
• your venue type;
• confirmation that you have received and read the applicable privacy information;
• information associated with the submission, such as its date and time.

We do not request payment information, identification documents, special-category personal data or marketing consent through the Request a Demo form.

We may also receive technical information necessary to operate and secure the website and its forms.

3. Why do we process your personal data?

We process the information submitted through the Request a Demo form in order to:

• respond to your enquiry;

We do not use information submitted through this form to subscribe you automatically to marketing communications or newsletters.

The legal basis for processing information submitted through the Request a Demo form is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR: processing necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering into a potential contractual relationship.

Where processing is necessary to comply with applicable legal obligations, the legal basis will be Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

We will identify an appropriate legal basis before using your personal data for any materially different purpose.

5. How long do we keep your data?

If your enquiry does not result in a contractual relationship, personal data associated with the commercial enquiry will be retained for up to 24 months from the last meaningful commercial interaction, unless earlier deletion is appropriate.

If a contractual relationship is established, relevant information may be retained for the duration of that relationship and afterwards for the periods necessary to comply with applicable legal obligations or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

6. Who processes your data?

Smart Payments uses service providers where necessary to operate the website and respond to enquiries.

The website is built and hosted using Framer. Native Framer Forms are used to collect and store Request a Demo submissions. Framer processes relevant personal data on behalf of Smart Payments as a data processor under its applicable data processing terms.

Email communications and form notifications may be processed through Smart Payments’ business email infrastructure.

Service providers may use authorised sub-processors where necessary to provide their services. Where personal data are processed outside the European Economic Area, Smart Payments requires an appropriate legal mechanism and safeguards in accordance with applicable data-protection law.

We do not sell personal data collected through the Request a Demo form.

7. International data transfers

Some technology providers or their authorised sub-processors may process data from locations outside the European Economic Area.

Where this occurs, transfers will be made in accordance with the GDPR using an applicable transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards.

8. Your rights

Subject to the conditions established by applicable data-protection law, you may request:

• access to your personal data;
• rectification of inaccurate data;
• erasure of your personal data;
• restriction of processing;
• objection to processing where applicable; and
• portability of your personal data where applicable.

You may exercise your rights by contacting hello@smartpayments.tech. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity before acting on a request.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, including the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

9. Security

Smart Payments applies appropriate organisational and technical measures intended to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, loss or destruction, taking into account the nature of the processing and the associated risks.

10. Analytics and cookies

This website uses Framer’s built-in analytics to understand aggregated website usage. According to Framer, its native analytics do not use cookies or persistent identifiers and do not collect information that identifies individual website visitors.

The website may use technical storage or functionality strictly necessary to provide the website, forms, security or user-requested functionality.

At launch, Smart Payments does not intend to use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag or similar advertising or behavioural tracking technologies.

Therefore, based on the technologies currently intended to be deployed, the website does not use a consent banner for analytics.

If Smart Payments later introduces non-essential cookies, tracking technologies or third-party services requiring consent, this policy and the consent mechanism will be updated before those technologies are activated.
